New prize launched in Ireland to drive R5

-

A new class-based challenge will give drivers in Ireland and Northern Ireland the chance to win an event or test in an R5.

Points for the EARS R5 Challenge are awarded based on your finishing position in class, not related to other competitors in the challenge. Any Motorsport Ireland or AN ICC event counts.

The winner can choose 40 miles of gravel testing in an R5 car, or an entry in an R5 to the Turkey Run Rally which is due to take place in December. Both would be in a PM Rally hire Ford Fiesta R5.

The prize has been launched by EARS owner Phillip Moynihan with the aim of giving back to the rallying community, 30 years after taking over the business.

His son, David, competes as a co-driver with Marty Mccormack in the British Rally Championship.
