Hartley’s crash

Brendon Hartley was taken to hospital for checks after his shunt with Lance Stroll on the opening lap in Canada. The Toro Rosso driver was sent into the barriers at Turn 5 after Stroll clipped him while saving an oversteer moment. Hartley’s car was briefly airborne before spearing back into Stroll’s Williams. Hartley was taken to hospital as a precaution and underwent two electrocardiogram tests, which the FIA said revealed no issues.
