This zippy design is the work of 37-year-old Japanese artist Yasuhiro Suzuki. The 11.37m-long boat is made from styrofoam and fibre-reinforced plastic and weighs 5.3 tonnes. It is designed to taxi customers from Takamatsu to Megijima in Kagawa, Japan. Suzuki drew inspiration from the way motor boat wakes look like they are unzipping the ocean.
