Cranchi
E 52F
Completing the armada of new flybridges being launched at Cannes comes this new 52-footer from Cranchi, which is available as both a conventional flybridge (E52F) and a sportsbridge (E52S). The only significant difference is the top deck which shrinks from full-length flybridge to minimalistic upper helm with a pair of sunken helm seats, split by a funky centre console, and a large sunpad.
Everything else stays the same including the pair of opening hatches above the lower helm which funnel fresh air into the saloon for much improved natural ventilation, especially when underway. The other unusual feature is the curious pillar in the aft galley, off which sprout a series of randomly shaped and sized lockers. It makes a nice talking point but we’re not convinced it’s terribly practical or seamanlike with all those sharp corners.
A couple of steps lead up from the galley into the seating area with sofas on both sides and a very snazzy glossy black helm station centred around a single captain’s chair with a joystick built into the arm rest. The glitzy styling continues below decks where contrasting woods, leather and lush carpets create a real wow factor in the full-beam owner’s cabin, even if the lack of standing headroom either side of the bed might leave you feeling a little short changed.
The latest IPS700 engines should provide plenty of get up and go while the foredeck boasts a neat recessed anchor as well as a seating and sunbathing area with its own pop-up sunshade. Contact See website for UK dealer. Web: www.cranchi.com
