Masters of spin
IMTRA Colorlight Clite 2 LED searchlight
Many remote-controlled searchlights can spin through 360 degrees (a complete rotation), some can even go a little further. But most will then hit an end stop and need to be ‘unwound’ to continue the arc. Not the new Clite 2 from Colorlight, however. Offering unlimited rotation combined with full movement on the X and Y axis (in other words, it will still rotate no matter what the vertical beam angle), the 20in-high Clite 2 also features dimmable LED light technology for a 5-degree beam with a 1,500m range and minimum power consumption (850 watts at its maximum 2.4 million candela and 40,000 lumens).
Contained in a powdercoated aluminium housing on an acid-proof stainless-steel base, IMTRA claims that it can operate for up to ten years without scheduled maintenance and it can be networked to an unlimited number of operator stations and fitted with a FLIR thermal imaging camera for heatdetecting night searches.
