BRITISH BOATER FINED IN BELGIUM

According to the RYA, a British boater has been fined €500 for having traces of red diesel in his tanks. Although it is legal to purchase and use red diesel for pleasure craft in the UK, it is unlawful in Belgium. Officials had previously seemed tolerant if boats could prove the red diesel had been purchased in the UK, but that may no longer be true.
