Azimut Grande 35 Metri

-

The Italian outfit will also be launching something on a rather different scale, the Grande 35 Metri. This is an important new model for Azimut, which aims to muscle in on the competitive mini superyacht sector populated by the likes of Princess, Sunseeker and Monte Carlo, and it will arrive at the show with some key features to help it make a mark.

The headlines are a raisedpilothouse design with a dedicated sundeck, a pure carbon-fibre superstructure, side garages for the tender and jetskis, an owner’s suite that Azimut’s claims has the largest extending sun terrace on the market, and the yard’s D2P displacement to planing hull.

The latter offers displacement efficiency with planing performance for an optimum long-distance cruising speed of 10-12 knots but a 26-knot top speed with 2,400hp MTU engines.

You can’t help but notice the main deck master cabin with its gigantic windows on both sides, which dominate the busy exterior of the boat but will fire huge amounts of natural light into the owner’s suite.

The glazed sections open to create the sun terrace.

From the waterside beachclub at the stern, a stairway leads directly up to the sundeck and on the foredeck, there is another spacious outdoor living area that includes seating, sunpads and a hot tub.

Below decks, there are four guest ensuites, all accessed from a central lobby, and a spiral staircaise that links every deck from the lower deck to the pilothouse. In the bow, in a space separated from the guest accommodation, there are crew quarters for six with a mess, four cabins and the same number of bathrooms.

This is sure to be one of the most innovative yachts at this year’s show. Contact As above
