Rhéa Marine
The brand
Founded by Bertrand Danglade in 1996, Rhéa Marine has become a byword for sturdy, timeless-looking craft with modern engineering and the latest creature comforts. Its factory in La Rochelle, France, marries hightech production techniques with plenty of old-school craftsmanship to create a distinctive range of boats famed for their secure seakeeping and relaxed long-range cruising.
The range now spans everything from a 23ft outboard-powered Open to a 67ft twin-engined Trawler, all built to the same exacting standards. Comfort and safety are hallmarks of the brand, with tall bulwarks, wide side decks, copious lockers, top-quality fittings and real teak detailing ensuring they are as enjoyable to use as they are to look at.
The range
Rhéa builds three ranges of craft: Open, Timonier and Trawler. The Open boats offer fun in the sun with a surprising turn of speed while the semi-planing Trawlers deliver long-distance cruising in a variety of timeless designs from 36-67ft.
However, it’s the Timonier range of all- season pilothouse cruisers which Rhéa is best known for. These tough craft epitomise everything that’s best about these SUVS of the sea; diesel shaftdrive engines deliver performance you can rely on while the sturdy wheelhouse design allows you to enjoy year-round cruising. The range runs from the 730 Timonier up to the Timonier 36, with prices starting from €93,000.
