Those who read the last issue of MBY, in which we pitted the W9 against the Axopar 28 and Cormate T27, will know that the Nimbus came through as the best weekender of the group. Though its performance and handling isn’t up to the level of these rivals, its sociable cockpit and relatively spacious interior make it the most comfortable to live on board. Crucially, its separate bathroom and big double berth are ideal for overnight stays, and it can accommodate up to four people.

It’s versatile too, available with inboard or outboard engines and in three body styles: open, T-top and wheelhouse. The T-top seems to be the best compromise, offering the feel of an open boat but with a well-protected helm station.
