No variant of Honda’s VFR750 should be overlooked or underestimated, but the fact is this version is the pinnacle of the 750’s development. This means it warrants special attention if you want a slice of Japanese motorcycle development history. Riding one is a real pleasure: ignore the naysayers who claim the V4 or the bike itself lacks character. For me maybe the 800s suffered a little lack of soul, but the original 750s were absolute gems that could put a smile on your face whatever the journey, whatever the weather and whatever the distance. Prices are only going one way, buy one.
