Planning your next adventure and hoping to get off grid? How are you going to keep your tech topped up? Well, to keep your gadgets full of juice no matter where you are, Mobile Solar Charger bundle could make your next overland trip even easier.

It’s a hell of a package, which includes a 13W SunPower solar panel that’s capable of kicking out 2Amp into its two USB slots. I’ve used it to top up battery packs – and then charge my phone, power lights and even jumpstart my bike while out on the road. As you’d expect, it performs best when the sun’s really beating down, but even when the sun’s rays are a little intermittent, it still soaks up power.

It’s waterproof, and comes with a stand, carry case and various attachment points so you can hang it on your tent or even your bike. I’ve even strapped it to the back of my rucksack so it can charge as I ride. It took a little trial and error before I was confident it wasn’t going to fly off, but with a four cable ties and a bit of creative thinking, I soon worked out the perfect solution for my portable power pack.

You also get a large capacity MSC Overland Power Bank and external battery, which will charge any 5V USB devices, and is capable of kickstarting cars with up two 2-litre engines. It’s water resistant, and is equipped with an LED torch, SOS flashlight and red warning light, and it’ll recharge from flat in six hours. That’s not all, as the bundle also includes a small 2600mAh ‘Power Stick’, which is compatible with a range of additional extras, from the included USB torch to the two LED lights.

In short, the MSC Solar and Overland Jumper Power Bank Package is a great bit of kit. It’s never going to be able to power a flatscreen television, but if you’re after a portable solar panel (and numerous accessories) to keep your small gadgets charged up when you’re off the beaten track, it’s well worth a look.
