Choppers n’ bobbers n’ that Welcome to BSH

Hello! My name’s Nik and I am, for my sins (which’re obviously many) the editor of Back Street Heroes – the oldest custom bike magazine in Europe!

In case you don’t know, BSH, as it’s colloquially known, was started in 1983, and has been the leading magazine for choppers, bobbers, café racers, flat-trackers, trikes, and just about every kind of custom bike outside of the US. We feature bikes and lifestyle events, and run technical features, pics of readers’ bikes and their lives, and have a monthly fiction tale by one of the greatest biker storytellers of all time.

During this difficult time, when none of us are really allowed outside for fear of Government-backed, ninja-trained police squads who’ll fine you as soon as look at you, we can give you a monthly fix of the best custom bikes in the land and, thanks to the fact that we were horribly over-efficient last year, some of the best events too, to remind you how much fun the biking world is when we’re actually allowed out into it.

In the next issue we’ve a look-back feature on the famous Farmyard Party; five pages on the grooviest (man) chopper event of ’em all, The Trip Out; seven feature bikes; two technical features, one on a truly amazing paint scheme; the latest news and cool stuff for you to spend your hard-earned wonga on; and a host of readers’ pics (and slightly dodgy captions…).

The new issue is on sale on Thursday, May 7 (which is actually my birthday… suspect I won’t be going to the pub though) or you can buy it, or subscribe on-line at our website at www.backstreetheroes.com – a good way of ensuring you don’t have to run the gauntlet of mask-wearing bog roll zombies. Bog roll hoarding… seriously, what the hell is that about?
