Rhayader, the heart of Wales

Rhayader is popular with motorcyclists - mostly dual-sports riders. There's a ride fromDevil's Bridge to Rhayader and then on. It's a perfect ride through the Welsh hills - the only thing you need to worry about is stray sheep.

The beauty of riding in Wales is that there are the most brilliant A-roads everywhere with wide, predictable corners and good road surfaces. The scenery is brilliant, and if you meet a few cars when you're on a bike then it's just a twist of the throttle to slip past them.

Another great thing about Wales is that the people are fantastic.

Rhayader is the epicentre of riding in wales. If you base yourself in Rhayader, you have great routes to Snowdonia or down south. There are lots of great roads to explore.

As with Scotland, it's all about the weather, but hit the roads on a gloriously sunny day and it's bliss.
