A 24-race line-up across three full days will make up the Legends of Brands Hatch Super Prix on July 1-3, a highlight in the 50th anniversary season of the HSCC. After qualifying all day on Friday, the first of 13 races starts at 0900hrs on Saturday. On Sunday, qualifying starts at 1000hrs with the first of 11 races at 1145hrs.

Current Force India Grand Prix driver and 2015 Le Mans winner Nico Hulkenberg will step back nearly 100 years into motorsport history by climbing aboard a Sunbeam Land Speed Record car to tackle the hill.

NASCAR seems really at odds with the serenity of Goodwood House, but the US monsters are a hugely popular element of the FOS. Last year’s star Patrick Friesacher is back with the Red Bull NASCAR while legend Bobby Labonte will drive a 1972 Dodge Charger.

Current World Rally Championship contender JariMatti Latvala will take his VW Polo R WRC car onto the drive of Goodwood House and it will be a fantastic demonstration of a state-of-the-art rally car.

Britain’s most successful Olympian Sir Chris Hoy has carved a new career in sports-prototypes and he’ll come to Sussex fresh from competing at Le Mans. The 2015 ELMS LMP3 champion will drive a Ligier LMP2.

Last month, Mark Higgins stunned onlookers by lapping the TT course on his native Isle of Man at an incredible 128.73mph average for a four-wheel lap of the 37-mile mountain course. He’ll be at Goodwood in his record-setting Subaru Impreza.

The life of James Hunt will be marked in the 40th anniversary year of his World Championship and one of the less well-known cars from his career is the Mirage GR7 sports-prototype he raced in the 1974 Nurburgring 1000km. Le Mans legend Derek Bell, Hunt’s team-mate in that race, will drive the car this weekend.

As BMW celebrates its centenary, the marque will take centre stage with displays and demonstrations. Notable on the hill will be four-time Le Mans winner Yannick Dalmas in the BMW V12 LMR he shared to victory in the 1999 race.

Race cars do not come much more dramatic than the 80-year old Auto Union C Type. Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason will be the brave man aiming to control this 520bhp six-litre monster on the hill.

Former grand prix driver Alex Zanardi is an inspirational hero for many fans and he’ll be a very popular visitor to Goodwood, taking the wheel of a BMW Z4 GT3 as part of the BMW celebrations.

Rally driver, stunt driver and all-round showman Ken Block will wow the fans with his own brand of spectacle at the wheel of his Ford Fiesta RX43, as used in his Gymkhana 8 film.
