- By Graham Keilloh

Snetterton circuit ahead of the 2023 season has had a series of on- and off-track improvements including to the paddock and barriers plus major race control and medical centre refurbishments.

Race control has been renovated with a complete rewiring, new screens and flooring, meaning that all visiting organisers will benefit from a significantly upgraded environment.

The medical centre is also being revamped with redeveloped treatment rooms, including new flooring, an improved kitchen and refreshed interior decor. New electric car charging ports have also been installed, making it easier for race organisations to use green-powered support vehicles.

Drainage has been replaced and expanded elsewhere in the paddock, to prevent excessive development of surface water.

While out on the circuit 160 sheets of crash barrier have been replaced and 100s of metres of barrier have been cleaned.

The Norfolk venue’s season begins with the Motorsport News-supported Circuit Rally Championship’s Snetterton Stage Rally that takes place on Saturday, February 11.

Circuit manager Stuart Mills, who joined the venue to lead its operations personnel last autumn, said: “I’m delighted we’ve been able to address several key areas of the venue this winter, including the race control and medical centre buildings, which are two of the most important interior spaces on-site.

“We’re working to ensure that the experience for those using the circuit is improved in key areas whilst maintaining our high standards more broadly across the venue.”
