● Carers UK’s online forum is a place where carers can share what is on their mind, day and night, with people who understand and can provide suppor t. https://www.carersuk.org/forum Carers UK encourage carers to tell their GP that they are a carer. GPs can support carers with their own health and signpost them to local support, for example their local carers’ network.

Why not tr y the Carers UK app Jointly? It helps people who share the care for someone to communicat­e through a group chat, share notes, and log which care tasks have been completed. Families could use it, for example, to ensure that someone has been in touch with Mum ever y day.

● Upfront is Carers UK’s simple online tool for carers which can help them navigate the maze of possible support and entitlemen­ts. It is especially useful if you are new to caring – you just fill in your details, spend a few minutes answering questions and Carers UK will guide you to the informatio­n you need. ● You can call the Carers UK helpline on 0808 808 7777 (Mondays and Tuesdays between 10am and 4pm) or email advice@carersuk.org throughout the week.
