THE QUIET PRINCESS

Sophie, Countess of Wessex is one of the quietest of royals. Wherever she goes she loves things to be as informal as protocol allows. Married to Prince Edward she quietly goes about her incredible workload of suppor ting people and charities. As patron of the Bath and West Show she rarely missed the chance to be there come rain or sunshine. “I always enjoy the Bath and West,” she once revealed. “Agriculture has always interested me and if you combine that with a day of fun and celebration, it makes for an excellent day out.” On her hospital visits she asks to meet as many patients as possible and on school visits she has been known to find an empty desk and take par t in a lesson. Sophie does not get too much media coverage but that’s how she likes it.
