This month I’ve been sending fresh flowers, testing a new range of cleaning products and sharing my favourite eye make-up remover…

M&S Smelling Of Roses

I love having fresh flowers around the house, but with flower deliver y ser vices, how can you be sure they don’t arrive looking tired and tatty?

I’ve been using the M&S Flower Deliver y ser vice and it’s been fantastic. Free next day deliver y with an amazing choice of bouquets and prices from £20.

I’ve ordered the Rose Trio Bouquet on several occasions and I’ve seen photos of them looking fabulous at the other end too! For peace of mind you get a text confirming who signed for them too.

A Handy Tip…

I never thought I’d get excited about taking a trip to our local tip. But when it was shut during lockdown and we (finally!) cleared out our shed, I couldn’t wait for it to reopen.

Check what you chuck, though, or that trip can be costly. Some tips want to charge you if you throw out stuff like toilet seats, old carpet or laminate flooring after a spot of DIY.

Green And Clean

I’ve been testing OceanSaver cleaning products. This plasticfree, plant-based cleaning range means you just re-use empty spray bottles, so saving on plastic waste.

Buy one of its EcoDrop pods, pop in an empty spray bottle, top up with warm water, shake and spray! I tested the Kitchen and Anti-Bac versions. Both do the job brilliantly. Only downside was, no whiff of the promised Ocean Mist or Citrus smell – unlike my usual brand that packs a punch with its Clementine zing. EcoDrops costs £1.50 from www.ocean-saver.com

“Check your tyres ever y seven to 14 days,” is the advice from Gar y Powell, technical manager at Bridgestone Tyres. He continues, “Look for damage like cuts or bulges and check tyre pressures, which can be found in the vehicle handbook or door pillar of the vehicle.”

Check where you’re parked, too. If your tyres are rammed up against a kerb, this can cause damage.
