To fit sizes: 71-91.5 cm (28-34 ins), 91.5-96.5 (36-38), 101.5-106.5 (40-42), 112-117 (44-46), 122-137 (48-54), 142-157.5 (56-62).

Actual size: 99 cm (39 ins), 109 (43), 119.5 (47), 127 (50), 145 (57), 162.5 (64). Length: 58 cm (23 ins), 58 (23), 63.5 (25), 63.5 (25), 67.5 (26½), 67.5 (26½).

MATERIALS

2 (2, 3, 3, 4, 4) 141-gram balls of Caron Simply Soft Tweeds in each of Taupe (23003) A and Of f White (23001) C and 2 (2, 3, 3, 4, 5) balls of Grey Heather (23002) B; 5 mm crochet hook; stitch markers. TENSION

13 hdc and 11 rows to 10 cm measured over patt using 5 mm crochet hook.

BACK

**Ribbing – With C, ch 10. 1st row (right side) – 1dcin 2nd ch from hook, 1 dc in each ch to end of chain, turn –9dc.

(70, 76, 82, 94, 104) sts.

2nd row – Ch 2, 1 htr in first htr, 2 htr in first sp between first htr and next group of 2 htr, *2 htr in next sp between 2 groups of 2 htr, rep from * across ending with 2 htr in next sp between last group of 2 htr and last htr, 1 htr in last htr, turn.

30.5) cm, when slightly stretched, ending after a wrong-side row.

Next row – Ch 1, work 35 (35, 41, 41, 45, 45) dc evenly across long edge of ribbing, turn.

With A only, cont straight in patt until sleeve from lower edge of ribbing measures 44.5 (44.5, 43, 43, 43, 40.5) cm, ending after a wrong-side row. Place markers at each end of last row. Work a fur ther 4 (4, 4, 6, 8, 10) rows straight in patt. Fasten of f.

TO COMPLETE

Neckband – Sew right shoulder seam.

With A, ch 7.

1st row (right side) – 1dcin 2nd ch from hook, 1 dc in each ch to end of chain, turn –6dc.

2nd row – Ch 1, 1 dctbl in each dc to end of row, turn. Sewing in place as you go, rep last row until neckband measures length to fit around neck edge, when slightly stretched.

To Make Up – Sew left shoulder and neckband seam. Sew in sleeves placing rows above markers along unworked sts of front and back to form square armholes. Sew side and sleeve seams.
