Audrey's Top Six Essentials

-

CITY SLICKER

Once you’ve got over the surprise of a black gel to cleanse, you’ll find just a blob of City Block Purifying Charcoal Cleansing Gel (£18, Clinique) draws dirt out like magic, leaving your complexion clean and clear. Simply lather the gel with water, massage over face and rinse off for glowing results.

ROSY TREAT

Roger & Gallet Rose Melt-In Body Lotion (£14, House of Fraser) has a delicate rosy scent and creamy formula that melts into the skin without leaving a residue. It’s gentle enough for sensitive skin thanks to natural botanical extracts including shea butter and rose-petal extract.

MOISTURE BOOST

Start your day with a moisture-boosting shower. Fenjal Cleanse & Moisturise Shower Gel (£5.49, Boots) is enriched with grapeseed oil and worked well on my very dry skin, leaving it soft and smooth for the rest of the day. Just a small dollop produces rich lather with a light, pleasant fragrance.

BYE BYE PUFFY EYES

Dirty Works Cucumber Eye Pads (£4, 10 pairs, Sainsbury’s) with cucumber and aloe vera extracts are refreshing and work a treat on dark circles and puffiness. try Stop Puffy Eyes Eye Cream (£5, Sainsbury’s) – pat a rice-grain sized blob just above the cheekbone using your ring finger. Get super-cleansed and deeply moisturised with pampering products that’ll see your skin through summer with a smooth glow

SUNS-SATIONAL

I love multi-taskers and Vichy Idéal Soleil Velvety BB Cream SPF50+ (£15.50, Boots) is top of my list. It feels silky, glides on easily for sheer coverage and lifts your complexion. It’s suitable for normal to dry, sensitive skin and has a high sun protection factor – a summer skin must-have.

LOVELY LIPS

Daily Energizer Lovely Lip Balm (Clarins, £16) with cocoa butter and shea oil is formulated to nourish and repair while adding a hint of colour, thanks to “smart” pigments that react to your lips. expect a subtle rosy glow against sun-kissed skin – and the peachy scent really feels like summer.
