A Growing Family…

Today Jane lives in Malibu and she loves nothing better than it being an open house for her extended family, which is a throwback to her own childhood.

“My parents had us three daughters, one after another, quite late in life. We lived in a tiny semi-detached house and had quite a humble upbringing.

“My mother taught us how to knit and crochet and cook. We always had lots of visitors, mostly my mother’s friends who survived the camps (Jane’s Dutch mother was held in a Japanese internment camp for over three years during World War 2) and their children, and we would feed them all.

“So we are a very close family and in fact, both my sisters and their families are with me in Malibu right now for a holiday and we are doing exactly what we did when we were growing up – cooking, talking and hanging out together and sharing life experiences.

“So my mother started something quite wonderful and it continues to this day. We look at our children and they are doing exactly the same thing. We are passing down a tradition of a very close family.”

Jane has an actress daughter Katherine (34) and son Sean (31) with third husband David Flynn and twin boys John and Kristopher (20) to fourth husband, director and actor James Keach, as well as two stepchildren, Jenni Flynn and Kalen Keach.

She loves being a grandmother, especially since latest addition, Luna arrived in December 2015.

“My house is very much like a family home, they all come and go and I have five grandchildren and it’s absolutely fantastic spending time with them,” she says.
