“A Gaping Hole In Emmerdale”

-

Emmerdale’s Rhona, played by the lovely Zoe Henry, is all set for this year’s extreme scenes. The build-up to the event is very dramatic and there’s a mystery funeral taking place this week…

“It’s thrilling and as a fan of the show, as I read the script to find out what was happening, even I was on the edge of my seat. It’s brilliantly done, really well planned and written so it’ll be a joy to watch.”

This week, Emmerdale will focus on a different character’s point of view each night over the same 24-hour period – with the climax ending on the revelation of someone’s funeral. But whose?

The death is a mystery though, and no one is safe. Rhona is the focus of Tuesday’s episode and her world is set to be flipped upside down. She’s in love with Pierce, Paddy’s back from Germany… and did someone say “blood”? A lot of blood…

“We’ve had little insights into Pierce’s past and his demons. There are a lot of layers to Pierce and a lot of stuff to see – that’s if he survives Super Soap Week…”

Rhona, of course, isn’t necessarily safe either.

“Obviously there is going to be a gaping hole left by the person or persons who pass away. Things are going to really change beyond recognition for some people.

“If Rhona survives this week, I would love to see her reunited with Paddy at some point – but if that were to happen, I think it’s a long road. I think there’s a long way to go for her to get over what happened – and possibly for Paddy to get over Pierce, if that’s the case.”

We’re just glad Zoe survived the stunts from this year’s event!

“We were all really focused and there was a real sense of professionalism and excitement on set,” she reveals. “The stunts are out of this world!”
