Hot Dog Puppy Rolls
INGREDIENTS (Makes: 4)
250g white bread mix
1 medium egg, beaten
4 pitted black olives, sliced
4 cooked chipolata sausages
2 baby plum tomatoes, halved
1 Line a large baking tray with baking parchment. Make up and prepare the dough mix according to pack instructions.
2 Divide the dough into 4 portions. Shape each portion into a ball and then flatten slightly. Cut either side to make the ears. Arrange on the prepared baking tray, spaced a little apart. Cover loosely with oiled cling film and leave in a warm place for about 40min to rise until doubled in size.
3 Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 200°C (Fan oven 180°C, Gas Mark 6). Brush with egg and push in the olive slices firmly to make eyes and noses. Bake for 20min until golden and risen. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. To serve, carefully slice the buns open and fill with a sausage. Arrange a tomato half to look like a tongue.
