A Grand Day Out!

Stratford upon

-

Explore the childhood home of Shakespeare's mother with a visit to Mary Arden's Farm. Experience the sights, sounds and smells of a working Tudor farm, as well as enjoying craft and falconry demonstrations. The thatched roof and pretty garden of Anne Hathaway's Cottage are surely the most iconic image of Shakespeare's Stratford. Anne, Shakespeare's wife, was born here in 1556. See original furniture including the four-poster Hathaway bed. The last in the series of Shakespeare's historic houses is Hall's Croft, the home of his daughter, Susanna and her husband, Dr John Hall. Wander round the garden and see the medicinal herbs Dr Hall would have used in his remedies.
