Big Attraction
On May 26, the winner of a very special competition is announced. Publicised on The OneShow, it gives community groups a chance to show why their site should win the Greening Grey Britain Garden. Designed by Professor Nigel Dunnett, it is full of bright and colourful, uplifting planting and has pools that can fill up with rainwater during a storm. There’s an edible picnic table, fruit trees and places to sit. With year-round advice on how to manage it, it will be transferred to the winning community to enhance the city landscape for years into the future.
