REGAIN THE SWIMMING HABIT

WEEK 1

Visit your local pool and chat with a swimming instructor about the classes and sessions available, any water-based keep-fit classes you could join and whether you need to become a member.

WEEK 2

Plan two outings to the pool this week, including any lessons you’ve decided to take. Why not ask a friend to join you? With all those calories you’ll burn in the pool, you definitely deserve to go for lunch!

WEEK 3

Three swims this week, including lessons, or, if you’re not having lessons, consider joining an adult swimming class to per fect your breathing and check your swimming position is correct.

WEEK 4

By now, you should be well and truly swimming again! Keep up the habit by setting yourself a challenge – how about swimming half a mile a week? Or training for a charity swim? Or learning how to dive?
