“I swim with dolphins!”
“I love the freedom of wild swimming,” says Jenni Stewart (38). “In an indoor pool, you’re confined by lane ropes, surrounded by tiles and synthetic lighting. Outdoors, you have fresh air, you’re aware of everything around you and you’re looking up at the sky. “I mainly swim in the North Sea and the River Tay, where I’m sometimes joined by the local pod of dolphins! “Last summer I was one of 2,000 swimmers who took part in a 6½km race across the Bosphorus Strait in Turkey, the stretch of water between European Istanbul and Asian Istanbul. I raised £3,000 for Maggie’s Centres and enjoyed the most amazing sense of achievement and elation.”
