Scrub your shower head
US scientists found that shower heads contain high levels of Mycobacterium avium which can cause lung infections in healthy people and a more serious condition similar to tuberculosis in the elderly and those with poor immune systems. Let your shower run for at least 30 seconds before stepping under it. Researchers at the University of Colorado found shower heads are a breeding ground for bugs that spray out with the first burst of water.
