1. HOLIDAY HAIR Give your hair a tropical treat with Coco-Licious Coconut Water Shampoo £3.50, Sainsbury’s. This lightweight formula is designed for fine hair, adding a residue-free shine that keeps its bounce. The range also includes leave-in conditioner and texturising

spray for beach waves.

2. SHOWER AND GO Moisturising damp skin locks in moisture, and Sanctuary Spa Wet Skin Moisture Miracle £8, Boots, goes one better; apply to soaking wet skin and towel dry as usual. I had my doubts but I’m a convert. My skin felt super-soft, smelled fresh and fragrant and I was ready in no time!

3. TOUGHEN UP Split nails are annoying: they look unsightly and catch in everything. After a week of using Nail HQ, I was delighted to find the condition of my nails improving. The shiny coat kept them snag-free. Try Growth with nourishing biotin or Strengthener with coconut oil and keratin, both £6.99, Tesco.

4. MERMAID PEARLS Glam up eyes and nails in shimmery seaside shades. Miss Sporty Precious Pearl Collection £1.99, Superdrug, has 5 nail colours ranging from Blushing Mermaid to Turquoise Pearls. Complement your look with Eye Millionaire Eyeliner (in two shades), also a bargain at £1.99.

5. LIP CANDY Lighten your summer make-up with tinted moisturiser and sheer lip tints. Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector £18, beauty counters, is packed with natural extracts of mango and shea for softness and shine. In two citrus-scented shades, Pink Grapefruit and Juicy Mandarin.

6. KISS OF COLOUR I love quick beauty fixes and Revlon Insta-Blush £9.99, is my new summer crush, adding a delicate flush of shimmering colour. The chunky stick is easy to use; smile, swirl over the apples of your cheeks and cheekbones, then blend. There are two pretty shades, Berry and Rose Gold.
