OVARY WARNING

Do you know the warning signs of ovarian cancer? About 9 in 10 women get bloating, but a new survey from the charity Ovacome shows women are more likely to see their doctor for other symptoms, like tummy pain and waterworks trouble. Think BEAT ovarian cancer – if you have Bloating, Eating less/feeling full quicker or Abdominal pain, it’s time to see your doctor!

OUR FAVOURITE VEG

A new survey from Diabetes UK has found strawberries and broccoli are our favourite fruit and veg respectively. We also love banana, pineapple and mango – but under 1% of us vote the British blackberry as our favourite. The north west voted Brussel sprouts their number one veg. Personally, I don’t care what fruit and veg you eat, as long as you eat more of them!

THE PLANE TRUTH

Like many people, I live under an aeroplane flight path – but fortunately several miles from the airport. New research among people living close to an international airport shows that constant exposure to loud noise is linked to higher blood pressure. You may not be able to move house, but there are lots of other sources of loud noise you can avoid.
