Aggie MacKenzie’s Expert Tips…
OUR HOME AND CONSUMER EXPERT AGGIE MACKENZIE SHARES HER TOP HOUSEHOLD TIPS AND SUGGESTIONS EACH WEEK
■ During the summer months, you should wash your bath towel after about three uses. In warm and humid conditions, bacteria can grow at an alarming rate, so if you dry yourself with a less than pristine towel, all you’re doing is spreading yourself with germs!
■ Sented candles are such a treat. Make them last longer by trimming the wick. It should be no more than half an inch long and trimmed before each lighting-up. Longer wicks will smoke, shed debris and flicker excessively. ■ Here’s a brilliant spacesaving idea: food containers that stack securely by interlocking one base to another lid below. Perfect for getting the most use out of your fridge door! By Lock&Lock at Dunelm; from £1.99.
