Are these cards easy to use abroad? ✦ I road-tested the Caxton FX Currency Card on a trip to Greece. The card is free; apply online, load up the currency and you get a PIN number, as with other cards. Use it anywhere that takes Mastercard – 35 million outlets worldwide. I used it in supermarkets and tavernas. Only one supermarket refused as it didn’t take cards. It was a no from easyJet when I handed it over to pay for in-flight drinks, though.
