Sue’s Guide To Christmas gifts for under £10

- Consumer expert Sue Hayward’s savvy finance tips and advice

Stuck for presents that won’t break the bank? I’ve been shopping for you and rounded up my top gifts to save money.

Cosy Christmas gifts are bound to be a winner. I spotted some gorgeous animal hot water bottles in both Husky and Cat designs at £6 from Dunelm. For the men in the family, Dunelm has boxes of Jack Daniel’s Whiskey or Honey Fudge at £5 and a Star Wars Storm Trooper bottle opener at £5. Or you could buy them a helicopter – well, a mini build-your-own version for £5, not the real thing! WWW.DUNELM.COM

Clintons have gorgeous 1920s deco compact mirrors at £3.99, along with Make Your Own edible gingerbread houses (£6) – great for smaller chefs! WWW.CLINTONSRETAIL.COM

Boots has its annual 3 for 2 deal on gifts so I snapped up a Marvel Trivia game (£5) and a Soap & Glory travel pack with individual star-shaped shower pods (£8.50). They also have a Krispy Kreme Lip Glaze Set (£8.50) – doughnuts without the calories! Flavours include Strawberry, Chocolate Dreamcake and Raspberry Glaze.

Wrap up with Tesco’s glittery paper which has super staying power. I tested it myself and the glitter really won’t budge! And make your own Christmas tree baubles with Hobbycraft kits. There’s fake snow, tiny Bambi and Penguin characters to pop inside, and packs of six empty baubles for £2. So easy to make – and they look great. WWW.HOBBYCRAFT.CO.UK
