A GRAND DAY OUT!

This week we spend time in the Welsh town of Caernarfon

A few miles south of Caernarfon lies the hidden gem of Parc Glynllifon, a Grade 1 listed historic garden, with woodland walks, follies and sculptures. There’s also a shop and gallery, and a cafe serving reviving coffee and excellent cake. Try out the Royal Welch Fusiliers Museum, housed in Caernarfon Castle. Learn how the regiment won 14 Victoria crosses and hear about the writers who served during World War l, including Siegfried Sassoon and Robert Graves. No visit to this part of the world is complete with a trip to the station at Ll an fairpwllgwyngy ll go gerychwy rn drobw ll ll an ty si lio go go goch, even if it’s just to have your picture taken beside the longest place name in the country!
