It’s thrilling to see sporting history being made and Franz Klammer achieved the fastest downhill skiing time in history when he competed in the 1976 Winter Olympics. With 66,000 spectators watching the Austrian claim his victory on home tur f, the crowds went wild!
Jenny Jones
At Sochi 2014, snowboarder Jenny Jones made history by bringing home Team GB’s first medal achieved on snow. Taking bronze for her efforts in the Slopestyle final, this time around Jenny will be joining the BBC commentating team. Since her big victory, British skiing and snowboarding has gone from strength to strength and this year Team GB will feature 25 skiing and snowboarding athletes.
