◆ As a teenager I was a stand-up comic and at 13 I got to the finals of Young Comedian of the Year and performed at the Comedy Store. After that I per formed in working men’s clubs and at charity dos. If I’d taken an alternative career path that would have been it. ◆ I was only 17 when I joined Corrie and I’ve been in the show for 17 years. I love it and as long they want me I’ll be here. I can’t really think of anything better and constantly remind myself how lucky I am. ◆ My Dad encouraged me to be braver than I thought I could be. I lost him last year, but he would have wanted me to do I’mA Celebrity. It felt like the right time for my son Albert (3) to see his Mummy have an adventure. I didn’t want to tell him I was asked but wasn’t brave enough. ◆ I’m not a confrontational person. It’s easy to get cross with people, but it’s better to stay calm. On screen it’s different. One of the first things I had to do when I joined the show was throw a glass of whisky in Mike Baldwin’s face! I’ve tipped a pint over Tracy Barlow and punched her in the face! There’s a great Corrie cat-fight coming up, when Fiz finds out boyfriend Tyrone cheated on her with Gemma! ◆ My favourite thing is cooking for people. I started a cookery slot on Lorraine and my husband Chris and I have our own restaurant called Annie’s. I like simple home comfort food. I never cook at the restaurant though. I leave that to Chris and our team – the experts!
