Sizergh Castle, Cumbria

From buzzards to butterflies, there’s plenty of wildlife to spot during a springtime walk in the countr yside surrounding Sizergh Castle. Close to Kendal, this is a hidden gem just waiting to be discovered by those looking for glorious spring views, amazing wildlife and an abundance of wild flowers.

The walk may be low level but that doesn’t mean there aren’t great views to enjoy, looking out towards the Cumbrian Fells and down to Morecambe Bay.

At this time of year, you’ll find find colour ful tulips, cherr y blossom and stunning spring colours in the rock garden.
