TAKE CUTTINGS AND DIVIDE PERENNIALS
Take cuttings from your friends’ plants to increase your range. If your garden is well-drained, some varieties will root by just pushing them into the soil in a shady place – try rosemary, box, lavender and sage. Divide perennial plants in spring and you get multiples from just one original plant. Hardy geraniums are some of the easiest to try.
