About The Conservation Volunteers
u The Conservation Volunteers were formed in 1959 as the Conservation
Corps to get ordinary people involved in practical conservation. u The first project took place in Box Hill, Surrey, and 42 volunteers were
involved – including a young David Bellamy. u Every day TCV works across the UK to bring people together to combat loneliness or enhance employment prospects. They help combat challenges such as poor health and a lack of high quality accessible green spaces, by giving people a sense of achievement and belonging. u Anyone over 18 can join and you don’t have to be physically fit! The TCV can accommodate both physical and learning disabilities and works to embrace every section of society in their mission. u For more info, go to WWW.T .O . K
