A E Y ALWAY CARED R Y R KI ? My mum told me to look after my skin. I always had something lying around – even a pot of Nivea or baby lotion. When I got my first acting job, I remember feeling proud I could afford Clarins!

ELL AB T Y R RA E It’s age-defying and rehydrating. You know how some creams don’t actually penetrate the skin? Well, these really do. They’ve got green tea in them and they smell divine. The packaging is slim and elegant, too as it was important to me to have a nice look. W AT Y R BEA TY RE I E? I always cleanse thoroughly, morning and night, and always take my make-up off. There is nothing worse than waking up in the morning with a hangover and having to get all the grime off, too! When not working, I wear a light, tinted moisturiser, Touche Éclat – and off I go!

W AT BEA TY R D CT D Y E? I have tried pretty much everything. I am not a sucker for something that’s expensive nowadays. I have other priorities and I am not a fashion or beauty victim. A WE T T E CL CK? You get to a certain age where your body does things you don’t expect it to! However much you exercise, your body does change. You can’t stop the ageing process – but you can do things to make you feel better. I exercise a lot and it makes me feel good.

A Y R L K C A ED C ER T E YEAR ? When I was young, I was a punk and so I had very dark eyes. I used to wear black lipstick, with a “black hole” all over my lips! I also had black all over my eyes! I still have a thing for black holes all over my eyes – but not my lips any more, thank goodness!

T ERE A ERA Y ARTIC LARLY AD IRE? Punk. The punk music and fashion were a really exciting time to be growing up in. I used to hide my punk clothes from my mum, though, because she would hate them and try to get me to change them! I also used to dye my hair all sorts of different colours.

Y I E Y R DA TER AD ICE? She loves her make-up but she’s very good at it. She’s 21 and is always saying to me, “For goodness’ sake, Mum, you haven’t put your make-up on properly! It’s not rubbed in.”

I ve tried ever thing I a not a ker or o ething e en ive
