1. NATURAL DEFENCE Every beauty expert stresses the importance of protecting our skin from sun and the environment and cult beauty brand Beauty Kitchen’s Invisible Mineral Shield Primer Cream SPF30 £14.99, Holland & Barrett is just the ticket. It’s 100% natural, fragrance free and feels light on the skin without stickiness.

2. PEARLY FLUSH Blusher warms the complexion and new Sheer Dimensions™ Powder £22, MARYKAY.CO.UK is light and weightless with a silky finish that melts into the skin giving a pretty flush of colour that won’t settle into fine lines. Four shades – Lace, Chiffon, Ribbon, and opalescent Pearls. The big compact lasts well.

3. NIGHT LIFE Breathe life into your skin while you sleep with Vichy Slow Age Night £32, Boots. Don’t let the appearance put you off – dark brown with a texture closer to gel than cream. The fragrant 2-in-1 cream and mask glides over skin in a silky, nourishing veil, leaving it radiant and dewy next day.

4. WONDER WAND I was amazed at the results with bare Minerals Lashtopia™ Mega Volume Mineral-based Mascara £21, department stores. You only need to wave it near your lashes to make them luscious! OK, that’s an exaggeration, but one coat made a huge difference and two completely transformed my thin lashes.

5. BOUNCY BLOWW-DRY Hair guru Andrew Barton has added to hishi haircare range for Asda with a new Hairbrush Collection £8-£10. The 14 new brushes use the latest technology: carbon to reduce static, keratin to improve elasticity and argan oil to eliminate frizz. We like the Moroccan Oil Ceramic Thermal Round Brush.

6. FOOTY FRUITY If you’d like sandal-ready feet and have time to spare try Oh K! Peeling Foot Mask £8.50, OKLIFE. COM with natural fruit acids to dissolve away hard skin. Tip the foot essence into the socks provided, fasten on, relax for an hour then rinse. Be warned, it’s a few days before skin starts to peel.
