Is there somewhere to report a death to banks and building societies?

✦ There’s now a new service to help you tell banks and building societies when someone has died. The Death Notification Service WWW.DEATHNOTIFICATIONSERVICE.CO.UK enables you to tell several banks and building societies at the same time. There’s an online form, or you can call 0330 0450212. It’s similar to the Government’s Tell Us Once service which lets you report a death to several Government departments in one go, like the tax office and DVLA.
