-

We’re now at a stage in our lives where we need to be really rigorous about our beauty regime if we’re looking to minimise the inevitable signs of ageing. For me, this regime gives my ageing skin the best opportunity to feel clearer, smoother and well-rested.

Every Day

Cleanse skin with a foam free cleanser twice a day, every day Moisturise with a plant-oil based cream twice a day, every day Add a serum into your daily routine, for both face and neck Use a high-factor mineral-based sunscreen on face, neck and backs of the hands when outside, all year Aim to have at least one mainly vegetable juice every day Take nutritional supplements including natural-source vitamin E, vitamin D (may not be needed in the summer), calcium, fish oils and high-strength, multi-strain probiotics Exercise – take a walk, stay active, ever y day BREATHE! Remind yourself how to breathe properly and relax your shoulders Be still – set aside a few minutes of quietness, meditation or prayer in the day to clear your head and calm your body Enjoy a soothing bath or shower after dry skin body brushing. Always apply body cream after bathing Sleep for 7 or 8 hours ever y night Drink plenty of filtered water – 1.5-2 litres, sipped throughout the day Eat unprocessed foods with plenty of plant matter – green veggies and some fruit (I use the 70:30 ratio)

Every Week

Have a facial or a steam at home Apply a face mask

Every Fortnight

Enjoy a home pedicure

Every Month

Book a beauty treatment such as an all-over body massage or professional facial

Parsley Punch Green Juice

This super green juice is full of green goodness, rich in essential nutrients and the perfect way to pack in your daily intake of vitamins and minerals in a glass. It tastes absolutely delicious!

Ingredients:

1 Apple

1 Carrot

2 Celery Sticks

1 large handful of Parsley

½tsp Wheat Grass Powder

Method:

1 simple step: juice the apple and vegetables, stir in the wheat grass powder and ser ve.

B ody-Boost Brushing

Dry body brushing every day before bathing helps improve ski n tone and texture (it’s effective on cellulite-prone areas), exfoliates the skin and boosts circulation.

Use a natural bristle body brush on dry skin in long, sweeping strokes from the feet upwards towards your heart, going easy on sensitive areas and with firmer strokes over hips and thighs.
