SUE’S GUIDE TO Freebies To Last Until Christmas
Ever y penny counts in the run-up to Christmas so I’ve checked out a sack-load of free trials and offers that last until Christmas and beyond.
Here’s what’s on offer and how to bag them!
Save on Amazon delivery charges with a one-month free trial of its Prime ser vice. It means free same-day and next-day, so great timing if you’re planning to shop online. It’s worth £7.99. Don’t worry if you’ve had a free trial before and cancelled, as you can get another one ever y year!
Check out your family tree with a 14-day free trial from WWW.ANCESTRY.CO.UK. Usual monthly membership starts from £10.99 but as I found out when I researched my family history, you can get a lot of research done in just two weeks!
Save 50% at restaurants with a Tastecard discount card. It usually costs £39.99 a year but you can get a two-month trial for just £1. This means 2 for 1 at over 60,000 restaurants, both chains and independents. WWW.TASTECARD.CO.UK
Enjoy unlimited films and TV shows on demand with a 30-day trial at Netflix. The good thing with this trial is that you get a reminder three days before it ends, so you’ve got time to cancel if you want out. Usual rates start from £5.99 a month. WWW.NETFLIX.COM
Get supermarket shopping delivered free for a month with when you sign up for a trial of Tesco’s delivery pass. Worth up to £12.99 as the freebie includes the usually more expensive same-day delivery. WWW.TESCO.COM
SUE’S TIPS:
◆ Always check the small print when signing up for freebies.
◆ Be clear when you need to cancel if you don’t want to continue with the paid-for service, and put a note in your diary.
◆ In some cases you may need payment card details to sign up. This is so that you can be billed for the ongoing service if you don’t cancel in time.
