ThThe 100th anniversaryi off ThThe SScenici RRailwayil iin MMargate,gt theth oldest ld t rollercoaster in the UK! Built in 1920, it was the number 1 ride at the Dreamland Amusement Park, whose history has been a bit of a rollercoaster itself! In 2006 The Scenic Railway was closed for 9 years after an arson attack, but luckily for us it has been restored to its former glory. Although it will be closed on its 100th birthday, the rollercoaster has weathered tougher storms than this and we’re suree itit’ll still be around to celebrate its 200th birthday!
