Former X Files star Gillian Anderson has revealed she gets sent saucy toys thanks to her role in Netflix’s hit series Sex Education.

The 51-year-old, who plays sex therapist Jean Milburn, confessed, “I’ve been sent more vibrators than I ever have, which isn’t a bad thing!”

Gillian also admitted that playing an over-sharing mum in the show has “somehow given me licence to be inappropriate and meddle a bit too much” in the lives of her three children, Piper, 26, Oscar, 13, and 11-year-old Felix.

“Fortunately, people don’t ask me [for] sex advice on the street!” she added.
