A DONE DEAL
Chancellor of the Exchequer Rishi Sunak has put a temporary holiday on stamp duty for those buying homes up to £500k. It’s a great idea, but the question is, who’s looking to buy houses in this climate?
The government is damned if they do and damned if they don’t, though. I think they’re doing as well as they can in these unprecedented circumstances – and they’re investing billions to help people get through this, including job-saving incentives and discounted meals out to keep the economy going. Keep it up! My only worry is balancing the economy with people’s health – this virus is not over by a long shot. We need to be careful how quickly we move back to normality.
