1 “Working out every day has literally kept me going for the last four years,” the 2008 X Factor winner admits. “It can sometimes be really hard to get up and find the motivation, but once you’ve found it, even 20 minutes a day can help clear the mind and boost the serotonin levels that might be low during lockdown. And you can still get your summer body ready!” 2 Alex says that lockdown gave her the excuse to take up cycling. “Taking a ride on my bike for a little bit of exercise has done me the world of good mentally,” she says. 3 The singer likes to start the day with either “a shake, porridge, granola or scrambled eggs on toast” after her morning exercise routine. “I always build up quite an appetite during a workout, so I like something that I know is good for me but quick and easy to prepare,” she says. 4 As well as cycling, she has been doing Pilates classes. “I am really missing my reformer Pilates, so the next best thing is to do it online with Zero Gravity Pilates,” she explains. 5 Alex keeps her diet in check by eating six small meals a day. “I suddenly had so much energy from eating regularly, essential when I was performing on stage at night,” she says.
