Katie Mcglynn The former Corrie actress, 26, on putting her family first and having no regrets

-

MY HIDDEN TALENT is I can do The Worm. Well, I think I can! It comes out at parties.

MY MOST TREASURED POSSESSION is a ring I got for my birthday. It’s silver and it’s special because my mum bought it for me.

I FEEL AT MY MOST VULNERABLE when I’m hungover – I feel like the world is going to end. In the morning, I think everything is hilarious for most of the day, but when it gets to dinner time I’m just a needy mess.

MY PLAN B was to go to university and study English Literature after doing my A levels. I don’t know what I would have done with it, though. Or Media Studies, as I enjoy the creative side of things.

I’M A SPIRITUAL PERSON because I believe people have good or bad auras, and I pick up on people’s energies and vibes.

I GET REALLY ANGRY when someone is rude and has bad manners. I don’t like big egos.

THE MOST IMPORTANT PEOPLE IN MY LIFE are my family. I’m very familyorientated and they mean a lot to me. I’ve been staying with them during lockdown and I feel like I reverted to being a teenager again.

I LIKE TO CHILL OUT by watching something on Netflix, going for a walk or listening to some music.

MY BEST FRIENDS are from Coronation Street – Lisa George and Rob Mallard, who play Beth and Daniel.

I WOULD DESCRIBE MYSELF as kooky, it’s one of my favourite words. I say it a lot, but I think I’m quite quirky and bubbly. Oh, and fun!

IF THE WORLD WAS GOING TO END TOMORROW I’d go to a theme park, then have a pool party with all my best friends and family. We’d have an absolute feast.

THE BIGGEST MISCONCEPTION ABOUT ME is people think I’m gonna be stuck up because of my job, but I’m not really. It’s not until you meet me that you realise I’m pretty normal. It’s the stigma from being on television – people just assume you’re not going to be very nice.

THE ADVICE I’D GIVE MY 16-YEAR-OLD SELF is to stop worrying about everything and to just have more confidence in myself.

IF I COULD GO BACK IN TIME I wouldn’t change anything because I don’t have any regrets in life. Everything makes you grow as a person.

I’M PROUD OF my Corrie character Sinead’s death being nominated for the BAFTAS Must-see Moment award. It would mean the world to win because everybody put their heart and soul into it.

I WOULD LIKE TO BE REMEMBERED for being a decent actress and a nice, likeable person.
