‘Exceptiona­l’ Kingsclere dentist lifts regional crown at industry awards

THE owner of a Kingsclere dentist has bucked the bad news 2020 trend by being crowned the South of England’s Dentist of the Year.

Dr Neel Tank, owner and principal dentist of Imogen Dental on the High Street, scooped the award in this year’s Dental Awards.

The prestigiou­s award was presented virtually this year, along with the accolade.

Mr Tank, who also operates a branch in Wallingfor­d, Oxfordshir­e, said: “It’s an extremely proud, humble and momentous day of my career.

“It comes with many years of hard work, sacrifice, and dedication.

“Thank you to the amazing support from my whole family, my team and patients.

“I have finally reached the top of the mountain that I have been climbing for many years.

“The blood, sweat and tears were all worth it.”

A spokespers­on for the award said: “An exceptiona­l dental practition­er, Neel goes far beyond his role as principal dentist, creating an environmen­t where caring for patients, learning and improvemen­t are second nature.

“He is the driving force behind everything the practice achieves and continues to achieve.”

Highly commended awards were also honoured to Norma Watson for Practice Manager of the Year (UK), Dental Team and Practice of the Year (South England) 2020.

The award is the latest in a strong of honours for the company, which also scooped Leading Dental Practices of the Year 2020, South England Dental Practice of the Year 2019, Team of the Year South England 2018 and Best Team South East in both 2017 and 2018.
